Environmental Conservation
Since early 2000’s, I have been photographically documenting bird and wildlife species in many parts of the world.

It all begins with an idea.
I have been a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana with specialization in environmental fate and transport of chemicals. I have spend a considerable time as a Professor and as an Administrator (Department Chair, Vice President for Research and Economic Development) at LSU. I have preformed more than $30 million dollars of research supported by NSF, DOD, DOE, EPA and many industrial sponsors and Foundations. Most of my research has been on environmental fate and transport of chemicals and their effect on air, water and sediment quality.
I have also maintained a healthy hobby photographing and documenting bird/wildlife.
I have been exploring environmental conservation ideas in various parts of the world and hence, I decided to combine my science and engineering expertise with my photography to explore conservation efforts.

Photographing birds and wildlife in different environments allows one to document the species loss/extinction that is a matter of urgency. Conservationists call this the “Sixth Extinction” on earth since evolution of species on it.

Human beings need to be aware of how we are impacting the environment around us. That is the only way to work on ways to restore the habitats of many species that depend on us to continue to thrive. To do so, we need to keep a watch on the migratory birds and animals and how they are impacted by human development.
